House of Hounds was established in Nitro, WV, in April 2006 by owner Brannon Carrier, who brought a clear vision to the business. Combining hands-on experience with a compassionate, professionally trained staff, we uphold the highest standards in pet care and customer service. Our sister location in Charleston opened in 2016. House of Hounds offers a pet boutique, professional grooming, daycare and overnight boarding, as well as specialized grooming and boarding for cats.
We take pride in our knowledgeable and highly trained team, dedicated to your dog’s care. We continually enhance our skills through ongoing education, seminars, and many staff training programs, which develops confident and capable dog care professionals. This training equips our staff to ensure your dog’s safety, happiness, and well-being in a group setting. Additionally, most of our team, including our groomers, are Animal First Aid certified, so you can be assured that your dog is in great hands.
